Simagic Zeus Wheel Ecosystem Review: Three Wheels, One Clever Platform
Quick summary· AI-generated
The author reviews Simagic's new Zeus lineup—three wheels (320mm Sport at $330, 300mm GT at $350, and flagship Formula at $500)—emphasizing the ecosystem's modularity: swappable screens, rims, connection methods, and paddle configurations. The Sport is framed as the best all-rounder for road/rally/oval; the GT offers GT-focused ergonomics with gold carbon accents but lacks thumb encoders; the Formula sits at the top. The review notes that flexibility is a double-edged sword—customization options make it easy to get confused about which accessories are needed. Controls include backlit buttons, switches, encoders, rev lights, and magnetic shifters across the range.

Before getting into the wheels themselves, a necessary disclosure. Simagic provided the Zeus wheels at no cost for review. They had no input on this article and did not see it before publication. The Simagic Zeus lineup is made up of three new steering wheels, and in my opinion, it is one of the most unique and customizable wheel ecosystems we have seen in a while. The range starts with the $330 Zeus Sport, followed by the $350 Zeus GT, while the flagship $500 Zeus Formula sits at the top.
What makes these interesting is how much can be changed without replacing the entire wheel. Screens, rims, connection methods, and even paddle configurations can all be swapped around. That flexibility is also responsible for the biggest downside, because figuring out exactly which accessories your setup needs can get confusing quickly.

Three Wheels for Three Different Uses
The Zeus Sport is a 320 mm round wheel and easily my favorite of the three. It feels like the best all-rounder, especially for road cars, rally, drifting, oval racing, and general use. The standard rim combines perforated faux leather and suede, while the size feels comfortable without becoming cumbersome.
You get eight backlit buttons, two 7-way switches, two thumb encoders, two rotary encoders, an integrated RGB rev light strip, magnetic shifters, and clutch paddles. There is some plastic on the front, and the paddle shifters themselves definitely feel plastic too, but the overall package still feels respectable at $330.
The Zeus GT sits in the middle at $350 with a 300 mm U-shaped design. It looks considerably better in person than I expected, especially with the real gold carbon fiber accent on the front. Most of the controls are angled slightly toward your hands, which makes the ergonomics excellent.
My biggest complaint is the complete lack of thumb encoders. I also found the central encoders harder to reach with the Dash4 installed. Still, for someone who primarily drives GT cars but wants more versatility than a dedicated formula rim, the GT probably offers the best balance of…
