Excerpt from Threshold

Five days remain until the release of BlueBird Simulations’ Boeing 757-200 for MSFS, and content creators and streamers have now begun sharing first-look videos of the aircraft.

This suggests an embargo of sorts has been lifted.

Several videos are available on YouTube, as well as the occasional flight-sim streamer streaming live on Twitch.

Threshold also has pre-release access to the 757, and we will hopefully share some insight of our own soon.

Pre-Release Preparations

Earlier this week, BlueBird published an extensive 357-page operating manual that includes normal flight procedures, an EFB guide, and documentation on ACARS functionality. It should have everything you need to learn the aircraft.

BlueBird also announced an official hardware partnership with WINGFLEX, which will manufacture dedicated cockpit hardware for the 757 and 767, beginning in 2027.

In a recent development video, the team provided more information about the product, stating that it includes more than 200 simulated failures. 1,500 hours were reportedly spent on refining the flight model alone.

The BlueBird 757-200 is targeting a release on Oct 23 for both MSFS 2020 and 2024, priced at $80 USD. The initial release includes only the passenger 757-200, with the longer 757-300 coming later as a free update.

The 757-200 was built for MSFS 2020 but also works in 2024, though it is not specifically built for 2024. BlueBird has, however, said that the 757-300 and all future products will be made with MSFS 2024 in mind, taking advantage of all 2024 features.

A fully 2024-native 757-200 will therefore come later.
