iniBuilds Updates A380 Airliner to v1.0.4 for MSFS 2024

Threshold

Quick summary· AI-generated

The update fixes critical flight-control issues (rudder response post-autopilot disconnect, high/low-speed protection), navigation problems (altitude restrictions, VSD guidance), and TCAS alerts. It also resolves FMC wind-data crashes, improves Jump Ahead stability, adds persistent radio settings across sessions, and includes cabin accessibility improvements and livery corrections. GSX refueling compatibility and EFB synchronization between pilots are also fixed.

Excerpt from Threshold

iniBuilds has once again updated the Airbus A380 Airliner for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, this time introducing further improvements to flight control systems, navigation, and avionics, along with additional bug fixes and refinements.

Several changes have been made to the A380’s flight control protections, including fixes to high- and low-speed protection behaviour. An issue in which the Rudder did not respond correctly to pilot inputs during landing after the autopilot was disconnected has also been rectified.

As for navigation, improvements here include various corrections to altitude restriction handling and to the Vertical Situation Display (VSD), the latter of which could previously display incorrect guidance under certain climb and approach conditions. A TCAS issue in which traffic and resolution advisory (TA/RA) alerts were not functioning has also been resolved.

Other changes include a fix for a crash that could occur when retrieving wind data via the Flight Management Computer (FMC), as well as improved behaviour with the simulator’s Jump Ahead functionality, which was previously a bit unstable, as well as persistent state support for radio frequencies, transmission and reception selections, and volume settings, where these configurations can now be retained between simulator sessions.

Misc. improvements

iniBuilds has also made several improvements to artwork and onboard functionality, with the entire passenger cabin now accessible in Avatar/walkaround mode, and several airline liveries have gotten corrections to markings and textures, including the new Lufthansa liveries.

The developer has also fixed an issue where EFB settings were not synchronised between the captain and first officer, as well as a problem that could cause GSX refuelling to become stuck when the auxiliary power unit (APU) was running. Finally, cabin announcement playback should no longer stop or hiccup when you switch camera views or play them more than once.
