FSReborn Updates Phenom 300E to v1.030, Adds CPDLC, New Failures

Threshold

Quick summary· AI-generated

The update introduces CPDLC (Controller Pilot Data Link Communications) based on the real Garmin G3000, enabling datalink compatibility with VATSIM, IVAO, SayIntentions.AI, and BeyondATC. A new Advanced Failures Module lets pilots manually trigger realistic system failures with proper avionics representation. Crew Profiles now persist avionics settings and display preferences between flights, while FBO improvements include hangar parking automation and refined ground-vehicle physics to prevent clipping into aircraft.

FSReborn has released version 1.030 of the Phenom 300E (PC), notably with CPDLC support, a new advanced failure system, persistent crew profiles, more FBO functionality, and a set of bug fixes.

The new CPDLC implementation is based on the real Garmin G3000 installation in the Phenom. It supports online and AI ATC services, such as VATSIM, IVAO, SayIntentions.AI, and BeyondATC, with datalink communication now supported in the avionics.

Version 1.030 has also added an “Advanced Failures Module”.

When the aircraft’s realism setting is set to “Advanced”, you can access a new interface and manually trigger a selection of system failures, with the corresponding systems and avionics responding to your set conditions.

Furthermore, your taxi lights can now fail, and the logic around DME failures has been expanded. The COM 1, COM 2, transponder, and other avionics failures should now be represented correctly on the Garmin Touchscreen Controllers, and failed cabin or cockpit evaporator circuits will also stop the associated fan.

If the anti-ice systems fail, the windshield anti-icing will also stop operating, which it did not previously.

The new update has also added something called “Crew Profiles”, a persistence system that saves avionics preferences between flights. Alongside your general settings, the system remembers which synoptic and display pages each profile was using and saves them for the next time you load the sim.

The aircraft’s FBO functionality has been iterated upon, where a new Park Aircraft” option can be toggled, to park the Phenom inside a hangar automatically. There is also another setting that can move a cold-and-dark aircraft into a nearby hangar when a flight is loaded, provided a compatible hangar is within three kilometres of your selected starting location.

Also, regarding FBOs, the ground vehicles now have a custom physics model to simulate better driving on raised aprons and hangar floors, which should reduce instances of service vehicles sinking into elevated surfaces.

More vehicle exit waypoints have also been added to reduce the chance of fuel or passenger vehicles colliding with the aircraft. However, FSReborn notes that this does not entirely fix the problem.

Moving on, the update has also made refinements, fixes and changes to the passenger satisfaction simulation, avionics, failures, and several smaller systems. A new Passenger Satisfaction Survey can now show you why your satisfaction scores have fallen, and…
