Just Flight Releases Fly the Line: Airline Edition

Just Flight has released Fly the Line: Airline Edition, an updated version of their already-released career companion app for flight simulation.

Although we describe it as a release here, the update is primarily a rebranding of the existing Fly the Line product.

It combines the previously released Short Haul Edition with new long-haul content into a single package, now available as a free upgrade for existing owners.

The application lets you build up your own airline career, climbing the ranks from Junior First Officer to Fleet Captain, and you also fly schedules based on real-world airline operations.

Three modes are included: Career Mode, Free Play Mode and Schedule Mode.

This update introduced long-haul operations, a Schedule Manager for creating and sharing airline schedules, and a progression system, which encompasses pilot skills, lifestyle upgrades, flight tracking and various performance statistics.

Create up to eight unique pilot profiles, each with their own airline and career path.

Customise your experience with imported profile pictures and airline logos, or choose from a selection of realistic defaults.

Route generation and scheduling

Generate hundreds of realistic routes with an intuitive schedule generator based on real-world data from your chosen base airport.

Fly daily schedules of one to four sectors, or mix and match to suit your flying style.

Choose between short-haul and long-haul operations, with flights ranging from short 30-minute hops to long-hauls of up to 20 hours.

Schedule Manager

Create your own schedules, or edit existing schedules and share them with the community.

Download custom-created schedules from other community members and use them to generate your route network.

Create accurate schedules for a now defunct 1960s airline, or create a fictious schedule for a new airline – there is no limit to creativity.

Leave a rating to fellow community members’ schedules to let other users know which schedules are highly recommended.

Import schedules in .csv or .txt files from external sources.
