Kodiak updates and new content releases
Back a couple of weeks ago, SWS released two new options for the Kodiak 100.
The first is the Kodiak 100 Amphibian (for MSFS 2024) which is €19.99 and is a stand-alone option for those who want the amphibian version of the aircraft. It has four interiors, 30+ liveries, and systems, sounds and visuals that you expect from SWS’s Kodiak line.
The second is the Kodiak 100 Medevac Expansion which is a €7.99 add-on package that adds a dedicated air ambulance system. It has a custom interior and five exclusive medevac focused liveries. This one requires the base package and is not standalone.
The developer has also updated the Kodiak 100 to v2.2.2 with some small fixes and updates. Meanwhile, 2020 version owners can expect to see a few updates as well bringing some features from the 2024 version down to the older version. Great!
PC-12NG moves ahead, PC-12 Legacy update
Work continues on the PC-12NG which is a modernized variant of the Piltatus turboprop utility aircraft. SWS are working on everything from switchology (the buttons and the systems under them) to the aircraft’s multi-mode radio to the flight model. The 2020 variant of the aircraft has been imported into 2024 and is flying even better under the updated flight model.
The developer has had an early look at some new turbine simulation features for MSFS 2024 presented by Asobo and expected to release in SU6. They say that this new update overcomes most or all of the limitations of the old 2020 turbine/turboprop engines and SWS will be able to roll back workarounds making things better for everyone.
The PC-12 Legacy, the first release from SWS, is also getting updates and will be coming as a 2024 native aircraft release. New internal parts are being added for the walkaround mode and release is expected in late August.
Pricing is expected to be €35 on our website and €40 on the Marketplace with similar pricing on other storefronts. 2020 owners upgrading to the 2024 version will get a 50% discount.
